Zen retreat in Berlin with Zen Master Gu Ja
With subsequent vow ceremony

Gu Ja Soen Sa Nim (Zen Master Namhee Chon) holds a master’s degree in philosophy and sinology from Freie Universität Berlin and learned yoga and meditation in India. Zen Master Gu Ja received her Inka from Zen Master Wu Bong in 2008 and her Dharma transmission from Zen Master Bon Shim in April 2017. She is the leading teacher of the Berlin Zen Center.
Zen Master Gu Ja met Zen Master Seung Sahn in Warsaw in 1989 and in 1990, together with her husband Zen Master Ji Kwang, founded the Berlin Zen Center. Soon after, the Kwan UmZen School of Germany was founded. She lives with her family near Berlin and works as an East Asian scholar.

We will announce the hygiene measures to be observed at short notice by the beginning of April in accordance with the pandemic situation. In any case, the number of participants will be limited by the necessary distances.
- Time: April 9, 2022 (Saturday 6:00 a.m.) – April 16, 2022 (Saturday 12:20 p.m. Then vow ceremony 12:20-1:30 p.m.)
